Project Description

KARAMON CONSEIL carried out the environmental and social performance audit of two multinational projects financed by the World Bank. The first concerns Togo and Burkina Faso, involving road rehabilitation and transport facilitation on the CU9 Lomé-Ouagadougou corridor. The second concerns Benin and Togo, involving the rehabilitation of the Lomé-Cotonou road (CU1, phase 2) as well as coastal protection works. Both projects are part of a regional drive to strengthen road connectivity and resilience to coastal erosion in West Africa. The audit assessed the environmental and social performance of the implementation of both projects and verified their compliance with World Bank safeguard requirements.
