Project Description

As part of the Abidjan-Lagos Corridor Project, a strategic regional connectivity axis linking Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Togo, Benin and Nigeria, KARAMON CONSEIL worked on the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) for the Abidjan-Lagos highway project. The assignment focused specifically on Lot 1 Abidjan-Takoradi, Section 1 Abidjan-Noé, a 135 km segment in Côte d'Ivoire. The project is financed by the African Development Bank in partnership with UEMOA. The studies covered the assessment of the environmental and social impacts of the highway alignment, as well as the identification of affected populations, the assessment of losses, and the design of compensation and livelihood restoration measures.
